Baggage transfer along Hadrian's Wall
Suggested stages for walking the Hadrian's Wall Long Distance Path.
The path can be divided into six manageable sections of around 12 to 15 miles each, though you're free to choose your own stages and lengths.
Some walkers prefer just the central sections, which are the most scenic and where the remains of the wall are most visible.
The route runs mostly through open country in Northumberland and Cumbria, with urban sections around Newcastle upon Tyne and Carlisle.
Hadrians Haul made our walk so much more enjoyable than if we had needed to carry all our bags. So easy to arrange, great communication and they knew everything about the accommodation where we were staying.
It was my initial intention to walk, camp and carry my pack the length of the wall; by the second day this was clearly unrealistic. Without baggage transfer, I'm confident I wouldn't have been able to complete the trail.
I came from Italy to walk along the Hadrian's Wall Path from Newcastle to Bowness-on-Solway. Every day it was a pleasure to find my luggage already waiting for me when I arrived at the accommodation.
